I’m Caterina, a designer from Chile, based in Oslo
Last updated: Dec, 2021
I thrive working with complex systems, where many touchpoints need to be aligned to create a holistic, user-friendly experience.
I use systems-oriented design methods such as mapping and visualisation, to better understand a project’s landscape, and identify pain points and opportunities.
I believe a designer needs to get under the skin of a domain to be able to develop solutions that are meaningful and relevant.
Digital design and other things here and there
—
I have been working as a digital designer for more than 6 years, in which I have gathered experience in wide range of projects: from web to native applications, from general consumer to professional solutions, and from conceptual work to pixel perfect interfaces.
I enjoy diving deep into UX and UI challenges, and learning new tools, methods and trends; but I consider it important to have enough knowledge in adjacent disciplines, such as programming, service design, and business design.
Beyond project work
—
Besides project work, I have been a guest lecturer in different institutions, and held a module on ‘possibility driven processes’ at AHO.
I was also responsible for organising First Friday (design event at EGGS Design) for more than 3 years.
With a focus on digital design during my work day, I gravitate towards a more tangible and handicraft side on my spare time.
